Our Blue Eyed Casanova

I think that I have taught Evan a bad habit. I love picking him up and kissing him all over his face. Lately, he has started doing it back. He will come over to me when I am sitting down and crawl in my lap and then start "kissing" me which for him is basically open mouthed drooling all over my face. He loves it and will just giggle away.

Other than the slimed face, I haven't really thought it was a problem...until today. Today after Sacrament meeting Evan and two little girls were standing by each other and Evan had a huge smile on his face. All of a sudden, he leans in and almost planted and open mouthed wet one on the closest little girl. Both the little girl's father and I reached down to stop the impending kiss, but Evan undaunted went for the other little girl. This might be trouble....

Other exciting things about Evan is he has started saying "Hi" and "Bye". Wherever we are he will start waving and saying hi to anyone he see. We were in Costco the other day and I think he said hello to the whole store. One lady asked me how I got him to do it and I replied that he jsut started doing it himself. He is a very friendly little guy that loves people.

It also has been amazing to see how capable he is at doing different things.
*He has a little mouse toy that the ears twist and he is now able to do it.
*I went to check on him the other day because he was being really quiet and he had crawled up into the chair in his room and was looking at a book.
*He loves turning the light on and off.
*Has a knack for toilet papering. I have a great video of him toilet papering his exersaucer... the only problem is I can't get it to upload.

We are loving watching him grow and learning new things.

Winchester's Apple Blossom Festival

So I have a bad habit of putting up pictures, becoming distracted and not writing what was going on . These pictures were from the Apple Blossom Festival that is held in Winchester every year. It is amazing. So much stuff to do and lots of pink and green. My friend had told me about the circus and how as a little girl she would go early in the morning of the first day and watch the elephants put up the tents. I decided this would be fun to see so we woke up at 7:00 Friday morning and headed off . There weren't any elephants putting up tents, but there were ponies...
The tent putting up process was all mechanical, but Nathan and Evan had fun pointing at different things and talking about them.

Later that day we went to the Fireman's parade. It is the biggest fireman's parade in the U.S. and had some great old firetrucks, bands, and tons of princesses.
Evan really liked the bands. He would clap when they walked by.

The grand marshal was Eric Estrada. Hooray! He was blowing kisses at everyone. It was hilarious.
and here is one cool fire truck.
The main parade and festivities were the next day, but our family pretty much slept through it all this year. Even though we live about 5 blocks from all the action. Can't wait for next year!

Evan & Ron

We had Ron and Liz Steele from Paradox come visit us for the weekend. We did a lot of fun things like exploring our home town of Winchester and also going to Gettysburg for the day. Evan loved having the extra attention and I think Ron enjoyed having someone to play with.
