Fall in Winchester

Today was one of those days that you feel glad just to be alive. It was beautiful! The air smelt so fresh with just a hint of dryer sheets and the sun felt so warm. The boys and I went for a walk and enjoyed all the fall colors. Then we meet up with some of Evan's little friends and went to playground and played. Nathan joined us there. It was fun make up family time.

Then we came home and made omelets and put the boys to bed. Evan has a baby Tad that plays music. We wrap up in a blanket together and put Baby Tad on nigh time mode. In the dark we watch the lights flash and then I lay him down. He is so easy to put to sleep. Nap time is another story. I do the same routine, but it isn't as effective. He might decide to run around for awhile then crawl in his crib or chair and sleep. Then again he might just run around for two hours.

Yesterday it was really sad. His cries sounded different so I went in and checked on him. He had gotten his legs stuck between the bars and was crying so hard. It was so sad. I got him out and rocked him until I heard Jackson start crying hysterically. So I put Evan in bed and I go check on Jack. He had fallen off the couch and was laying on the floor, thank goodness he fell on carpet, and was crying hysterically. It was so sad to see both of my boys get hurt.

Here are some pictures of Baby Jack is his bouncer.....

And his cute pumpkin hat :)
Love him!

We done gone to the Wal-Mart

All day we have been planning to have Family time and do something together. We have been looking forward to it. We would maybe go for a walk or go to the park or play a game, but we were going to do something as a family. We ended up going to the Wal-mart. Evan was out of diapers so that is where we went for our special family time, but it is okay. We were together and we were doing something together so it was fun!

Other than that, the boys and I walked to the Restore today to try to find a lid for our toilet that Evan accidentally broke on Sunday. Apparently, toilet seats aren't a one size fits all thing so it is going to be more difficult than I thought. Right now our bathroom looks kinda bad with a toilet without a lid. Oh well, what do you do?

Here are some pictures of Jack playing with his teddy bear. He is really getting big. He can hold his head up by himself now.

Bad Mama

So today I had one of those experiences where I swear people look at you and think your a mess. I went to Joann's to buy some fabric to make Jackson a Pumpkin Halloween costume. It was Monday morning and I thought the lines wouldn't be that bad. I was wrong!

They are having a big sale and everyone was there. It had taken so much effort to get myself and my two little men there that I wasn't going to come back later. So I got my material, balanced it on my stroller and waited in line with two screaming boys. It was uncomfortable. But it's over and I have the material and hopefully I never have to do that again. This is what I am hoping the costume will look like. Something like it.

We went to toddler story time today at the library. Evan enjoys to go and listen to the stories. It was such a beautiful day and it was nice to go out for a walk. Nathan had class last night and didn't get home until 9. He finished his papers and did a great job with the writing. He is so good at it.

Haircuts and Cuddling

Evan's hair had gotten out of control! He hasn't had a good haircut for about three months. It was all frayed in the back and crazy long in front. It was so bad that I didn't even try to comb it after he woke up anymore. I would just put gel in it and try to make his bed head look like the cool messy style that is so popular right now. Then I would use the extra gel to make the hair on the back of his head stick down. It looked decent, but I knew it wouldn't be to long until he had a mullet. These are some before shots.....

and here are the "after" shots. It is so nice that Nathan knows how to cut hair! Evan is learning a lot. He is trying to dress himself and he can point to his nose, eyes, ears, and belly button. The other day, Nathan was scratching his head and Evan looked at him funny for a little bit. Then he started scratching his head and laughing. He is very observant.

Evan loves to have books read to him. His current favorites are Michael Finnegan and Jazz Baby!

Baby Jack is doing well. He is getting big and strong and soon will be able to fight off Evan's "love" attacks which are more like being mauled by a bear. He can hold his little head up and look around and likes to kick and hit at things. He is such a sweet baby.

and here are my new favorite pictures!! Me and baby Jack who is six weeks today!!
