Winchester's Apple Blossom Festival

So I have a bad habit of putting up pictures, becoming distracted and not writing what was going on . These pictures were from the Apple Blossom Festival that is held in Winchester every year. It is amazing. So much stuff to do and lots of pink and green. My friend had told me about the circus and how as a little girl she would go early in the morning of the first day and watch the elephants put up the tents. I decided this would be fun to see so we woke up at 7:00 Friday morning and headed off . There weren't any elephants putting up tents, but there were ponies...
The tent putting up process was all mechanical, but Nathan and Evan had fun pointing at different things and talking about them.

Later that day we went to the Fireman's parade. It is the biggest fireman's parade in the U.S. and had some great old firetrucks, bands, and tons of princesses.
Evan really liked the bands. He would clap when they walked by.

The grand marshal was Eric Estrada. Hooray! He was blowing kisses at everyone. It was hilarious.
and here is one cool fire truck.
The main parade and festivities were the next day, but our family pretty much slept through it all this year. Even though we live about 5 blocks from all the action. Can't wait for next year!
