It happened that on my birthday Glen Burnie had a free day. So we walked over and enjoyed the gardens and the museum for free which was great.
This is the private entrance gate. Every time I drive by I think what a great spot for pictures so on our walk I made sure we stopped to take some.
Evan just chilling as Dad pushes him around. :) What a life!I love this picture! These are pleached trees (last winter when Nathan brought me here for our Anniversary our docent told us that it grows little pleaches.) Ever since I saw them I have wanted to take Evan's picture just running in it, so we waited until no one was coming and let him loose. It was a lot of fun.
Our house is just up the street from one of the downtown fire stations and whenever Evan hears a fire truck going by, he will run to the window to see it. The museum had one of the fire trucks there that day. Apparently the Rouss Fire company downtown had an appraiser come to assess the value of the building and discovered that the weather vane alone was worth several million dollars. Subsequently, they tried to sell it to finance a new building, but no one offered enough.
They then decided to put it in the local museum and had a fire truck from the company there that day to celebrate. Evan was happy to crawl up and explore.
